Mentor economically disadvantaged 10 girls in Maths and English, helping them get equal opportunity in education.

Motivated the girls to regularly attend school and continuously learn, in grain awareness of the importance of education and learning skills.

Facilitated their learning interest. Some girls expressed interest in learning web programming, taught them basic HTML/CSS.

Facilitated 15 teenagers pursuing their dream in tech through mentoring in block programming and basic electronics.

Actively listened to their aspiration for tech, and provided support for their learning track.

Facilitated 5 junior high science teachers updating their tech knowledge, readying them to teach block programming for their students.

BACKGROUND

Vendor Risk Management Workflow

A project for a cybersecurity consulting firm*.

One of the firm services is vendor risk management.

Vendor risk management is a vendor information security audit to make sure the client’s hired vendor is secure and can protect the client’s data and business interests.

The consultant works alone and is not aware of the other consultants’ work. This leads to different consultants might be assessing the same vendor’s product for different clients.

When the vendor’s product has been assessed recently**, the audit process can be shortened by referring to that recent vendor’s product assessment working paper.

If the firm can solve this problem, it will improve the consultant's work efficiency and open the possibility of adding more clients and receiving more assessment requests.

In this project, I worked as the Product Manager. I gathered requirements from the customer, created Product Requirement Documents, reviewed the design and led design handoffs, created and groomed product backlog, tested web-UI and functionality, and led sprint planning and daily scrum activities.

The firm needs a database that stores all the vendor assessment requests done by the firm. The database must be easily maintained and accessed by the admin and the consultant.

How Might We help the consultant find the related assessments easily?

The assessment request must link to all previously assessed of the same/similar vendor’s products.

So, the consultant can find all the related assessments easily.

How Might We help the consultant work more efficiently when assessing a vendor?

For future easy reference, the assessment working paper and report must be attached to the assessment request.

Referring to the previous assessment working paper, the consultant can eliminate the repeat work of checking hundreds of pages and improve work efficiency by 40%.
